CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
Patient with severe headache that radiates temporaly as well as to the mid-parietal
region. Increase in intensity especially upon bowing the head. There is presently
no indication of purulent rhinorrhea.
FINDINGS:
Ground-glass-like
consolidation and inflammation of the entire right petrous pyramid typical
of fibrous dysplasia. Furthermore, the
right temporal squama, the sphenoid body and the right greater wing of the sphenoid
bone and some
ethmoidal cells are affected.
DIAGNOSIS:
Fibrous dysplasia
DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:
Osteopetrosis
